The peace lily is a houseplant that is quite common. It looks good in any room of the house. It may seem easy to care for, but there are some things you should keep in mind. Several experts reveal how and when to fertilize it on the 'website' Homes & Gardens.
"You'll find that your peace lily will benefit from a little feed every four to six weeks during the growing season, which is usually spring to autumn," says Sally Allsop of All That Grows. "You don't usually need to feed during the winter months," she continues.

And what is the best type to use? "Any organic or specialist flowering plant food will do the job," says Jeannie Psomas of The Plant Lady. However, it is advisable not to use "high-nitrogen feeds, as these will encourage lots of lush green leaves at the expense of flowers".
You should also pay attention to the amount of fertilizer you use. "The amount of salts is a big issue. It's more of a concern if you're using a non-organic, synthetic fertiliser."
