It is a good source of vitamin C, but orange juice can still cause problems for some people. There are cases in which it should be avoided, despite the various benefits it can bring.
The juice "contains almost no fiber and has lower amounts of vitamins and minerals than the whole orange, so it is recommended to consume the whole fresh fruit", reveals the Spanish Nutrition Foundation, quoted here by the blog aggregator HuffPost.

Nutritionist Daniela Ginta says that people with diabetes should avoid juice. "The main reason is to avoid an increase in blood glucose." Other fruit juices can also be worrisome.
"They can add a large amount of carbohydrates to the diet and are pure sugar," she continues. She recommends tomato juice, for example, and other drinks, such as water.
