Andreas Pereira negotiated with Sporting and Palhinha shoots: "You don't even know..."

Fulham duo Andreas Pereira and Joao Palhinha gave an extensive interview to DAZN Portugal on Tuesday. Midway through the conversation, the Brazilian midfielder confessed that he had the opportunity to represent Sporting in 2020.

At the time, the creative Canarinho was playing for Man. United. Andreas Pereira explained that the negotiation between the parties took place before Bruno Fernandes moved to Old Trafford in January of that year, but it was ultimately not completed.

"It was at the time when I was included in the negotiation with Bruno Fernandes and there were negotiations with Sporting, but nothing came of it," said the Brazilian. Joao Palhinha responded humorously: "You don't even know what you missed."

Joao Palhinha also spoke about a possible departure from Fulham at the end of the year and expressed confidence in being present at Euro 2024.

"I'm relaxed, I want to finish the season in the best possible way. The Euros are coming up. I want to finish these games in good shape. Everything else doesn't worry me. I'm relaxed, stable and happy. I don't want to be racking my brains about things that don't make sense right now. I want to play football and help Fulham win these five games," he concluded.
