There are reasons to celebrate in the city of Milan. Internazionale was crowned Italian champion this Monday and celebrated... at the home of their eternal rival. In a game that could be decisive for this purpose, the Nerazzurri team won 2-1 against their arch-rival AC Milan and celebrated the title five rounds before the end of Serie A.

In a duel counting for the 33rd round of the competition, the team led by Simone Inzaghi was always on top throughout the match and triumphed thanks to goals from Acerbi in the 18th minute and from Frenchman Marcus Thuram right at the start of the second half (49'). Englishman Tomori relaunched the match in the 80th minute, but it was too late to prevent Inter's party.

The final stretch of the match was full of strong emotions and had two players sent off for both teams. Theo Hernández and Calabria saw red cards on the AC Milan side, while Dumfries was sent off at Inter.

Rafael Leão was a starter in the match and it was on the pitch that the Portuguese international saw his rival Inter add the 20th Italian championship title to their list of achievements.

After the math, Inter, who have one defeat in Serie A this season, remain in first place with 86 points... 17 points more than their eternal rival AC Milan, who are in second place.
