Bayer Leverkusen can be crowned champions this weekend, needing only to win their match against Werder Bremen. An outcome that, in Willy Sagnol's opinion, could prove positive... for Bayern Munich.

This is, at least, the point of view of Willy Sagnol, former French international who stood out in the service of the Bavarians between 2000 and 2009, and who, in statements made this Tuesday to the German television station Sky Sport, warned of the need to rethink what is being done.

"Losing the championship and the difficulties felt throughout the season are the best thing that could have happened to Bayern Munich", began by stating the former full-back, who assumed that perhaps the team "needs new players, with a new motivation".

"This forces us to think about what went wrong and what needs to change. And, when Bayern Munich decides to promote changes, normally, this leads to positive developments", completed the now sports commentator.
