'Magnificent' Bruno Fernandes rescues Manchester United from nightmare

Manchester United came into this game on the back of reaching the FA Cup final at the weekend. The Red Devils beat Sheffield United 4-2 with Bruno Fernandes scoring twice as they came from behind at Old Trafford.

The game started badly for United as Onana gifted the Blades an early goal. Bogle capitalised on a poor pass from the goalkeeper to fire into an empty net, with Onana stranded.

Manchester United were level before the break, though, with an unlikely equaliser at Old Trafford. Harry Maguire headed home from a cross in the 42nd minute.

Chile international Ben Brereton Diaz restored the Blades' lead early in the second half. But Bruno Fernandes levelled from the penalty spot in the 61st minute. It was a controversial penalty. Twenty minutes later, Fernandes put United ahead again with a stunning strike. He curled a superb left-footed effort into the top corner from outside the area.

Rasmus Hojlund made sure of the victory for the Red Devils with a fourth goal in the 85th minute, again assisted by Fernandes. The win moves United up to 53 points and back into winning ways. They leapfrog Newcastle and into sixth place in the table. Sheffield remain bottom.
