Sporting considers Amine Gouiri for the attack

The summer transfer market opens in just over two months, and Sporting is already active in search of a new solution for the attacking wings, which have been the target of several changes by Rúben Amorim this season.

This Thursday, the Algerian newspaper L'Algérie Aujourd'hui reports on the alleged interest of the management led by Frederico Varandas in acquiring Amine Gouiri, a 24-year-old player who has been attracting attention while playing for Rennes, with ten goals and three assists in 37 official matches in 2023/24.

The same publication adds that the Algerian international would welcome the possibility of moving to Alvalade, especially because, apparently, his current club will fail to qualify for European competitions.

Born in Bourgoin-Jallieu, the right-footed player trained at Olympique Lyon before moving to Nice in 2020. Two years later, he moved to Rennes for 28 million euros and has a contract valid until June 2027.
