Benfica beats Sporting and starts the title discussion on the right foot

Benfica started the discussion of the national volleyball championship title in the best way, beating their rivals Sporting (3-1) this Saturday in the first game of the playoff final.

Playing at Pavilhão da Luz, the team led by Marcel Matz won the first set by 25-22, but saw the Lions triumph in the second (21-25).

The third set fell to Benfica's side, but only after a lot of fighting by Sporting (27-25). In the fourth set, Benfica was more relaxed and secured the final victory with 25-17.

The second match of this final, which will be the best of five games, will take place on April 25, starting at 5 pm, at Pavilhão João Rocha.
