FC Porto wins in Minho, moves away from Benfica and chases leader Sporting

FC Porto returned to winning ways in the second stage of the national handball championship, this Saturday, by defeating ABC (24-26), in Minho, remaining in the pursuit of the leader Sporting and further distancing themselves from Benfica.

The dragons started stronger and even managed to be winning by four goals, but allowed the gradual recovery of the Bracarense emblem, so much so that there was a 12-13 at halftime.

In the second half, the favorable trend for the blue and whites remained, albeit with some oscillations, culminating in a slightly suffered triumph, with the final 24-26.

With this result, FC Porto now has 35 points in second place, four behind the leader Sporting (who also won the first two games), precisely before the Clássico between the first two classified in the next round. Benfica is third, with 32, while ABC is in fourth position, with 27.
