Palmeiras, trained by Abel Ferreira, recorded a home defeat against Internacional, by 1-3, in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, in a game of the second round of the Brasileirão. And there was no shortage of criticism from the Portuguese coach.

Due to the holding of several events at Allianz Parque, Verdão's usual 'home', Palmeiras was forced to use Arena Barueri, located on the outskirts of São Paulo, something that deserved more heated words from the Portuguese coach.

"There were 18 shots [by Palmeiras] against five. I don't think we were that creative in the first half, but the effort we made in the last game would pay dearly. We needed more energy from the fans. That's not the reason [for the defeat], but we need the energy. Playing in our stadium is different, the energy is different, the opponent feels the noise differently. We already knew and that cannot be changed", lamented Abel.

"Football has three results and we have to deal with them well. [The pitch] It's a quarry for us and for them. Do I think the result is fair? No, but that doesn't matter much. In the first half, our opponent was more effective. If you take the stopwatch and see the useful playing time, you will see. We created the same as our opponent. It's a regularity competition", concluded the Palmeiras coach.
