The Sporting triumph over Famalicão (0-1), this Tuesday, in a calendar adjustment that increased the advantage over Benfica to seven points in the fight for the title, was also marked by another game without a goal from... Viktor Gyokeres.

To remember the last time he faced a 'goal drought' in five consecutive duels, except for the games for the Swedish national team, it is necessary to go back to the beginning of 2023, when he also added such a record in the service of Coventry City, then responding with three consecutive games celebrating with his famous 'mask'. At that time, he failed to score against Burnley, Norwich, Huddersfield Town, West Bromwich and Luton Town.
It should be noted that, despite the most recent negative record, Viktor Gyokeres has been fundamental to Sporting's journey to the national championship title, with a total of 36 goals and 14 assists in 44 games.
