Leixões keeps unbeaten streak alive by drawing with Torreense
Leixões and Torreense drew today 1-1, in a game of the 29th round of the II League of football, in which the Matosinhos team was more audacious, but could not overcome the cohesion of the opponent.

The Torres Vedras team, which has gone six games without a win and has had two consecutive draws, took the lead in the 21st minute through Patrick Fernandes, but Leixões, which has not lost in 10 games and has had four consecutive draws, rescued the tie in the second half, in the 61st minute, through Adriano Amorim.
The northern team now has 31 points, which gives it 14th place, while Torreense is seventh with 41.
The locals entered the game with more initiative and, after just six minutes, had a great chance to open the scoring, with a shot from Avto that hit the bar.
On the other side, Torreense made its defensive cohesion count to support its counter-attacking play, and, in the 21st minute, in its best opportunity, it was effective, with Jorge Correa, in a brilliant pass, isolating Patrick Fernandes, who went around the opposing goalkeeper and scored for 1-0.
Despite the setback, the northerners maintained a more offensive posture and created some dangerous chances to rescue the tie, namely in a pair of shots from Léo Bolgado and Adriano Amorim, but without the effectiveness to reverse the disadvantage at half-time.
The tone remained the same at the start of the second half, with Leixões having more presence in the opposing midfield, highlighting it with threats from Adriano Amorim and Léo Bolgado, and Torreense, more contained, exploring shots from outside the area, by Juan Balanta and Patrick Fernandes.
Even so, the insistence of the Matosinhos team bore fruit after the hour mark, with Adriano Amorim starting and finishing a counterattack, benefiting from a backheel assist from João Marcos to make it 1-1.
The visitors still tried to respond, with a cross shot from Paulinho Araújo for a good save from Stefanovic, but Leixões kept the upper hand, and even saw a goal disallowed for offside by Ricardo Valente.
In stoppage time, Torreense still had a great chance to regain the lead, but Jonny Arriba, with the goal at his mercy, shot for a tight save from Stefanovic, keeping the final score at 1-1.
