"I expect a strong Benfica, who have no room to lose points in the title fight with Sporting. I believe it will be a Benfica similar to the one that played against Marseille. We have to understand the team on the other side, who are coming off a good win in the Europa League," anticipated Rui Borges, in the preview of the match.

Therefore, the Moreirense coach wants his team to maintain the "image of what they have been throughout the championship", guaranteeing that the last two games without a win [defeat against Vitória de Guimarães and a draw with Estrela da Amadora] do not affect the good season achieved by the work group.

"It was not these less positive results that compromised our work over these months. We have to be a bold, committed and rigorous Moreirense in individual behaviours. We know that on the other side there is above-average quality. We have to minimise the details, avoid giving space for decision-making," analysed the coach of the Minho team.

Rui Borges recalled that during the season Moreirense maintained the same identity and criteria "whether against mid-to-low table teams or against opponents fighting for the title", emphasising that this will be the stance to maintain at the Estádio da Luz.

"We have shown courage and ambition to compete with teams considered to be big. We will not shy away from that. We will try to have possession of the ball and the courage to reach the finishing areas, in a stadium with a different crowd," he added.

Rui Borges does not expect a Benfica with major changes compared to the last few games, but he recalled that whatever Roger Schmidt's choices are, the 'incarnates' have "solutions that correspond to the club's greatness".

"The greatest focus is always on our team. Within the observation we make, we will perceive strong and less strong points. But I do not look at Benfica regardless of who is playing," he added.

Therefore, the coach of the Moreira de Cónegos team guaranteed that he will not show up at the Luz betting on a defensive block and promised an ambitious team to achieve a good result.

"We will try to maintain a medium/high block, be pressing and precise. We know that on the other side there are players who make a difference in the decision and any mistake can be costly," he warned.

For this challenge, the coach will still not be able to count on the injured Madson and Hêrnani Infande.
