It is "unfair" that Palestine cannot be a member of the UN, says Turkey
Turkish Foreign Minister has called on the international community to recognize the State of Palestine.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has deplored the United States’ veto of a bid to make Palestine a full member of the United Nations (UN) Security Council.
“It is unjust that Palestine cannot become a UN member. We call on the international community to stand against this injustice and recognize the state of Palestine,” Fidan said at a press conference cited by Al Jazeera.
Fidan was meeting his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug in Istanbul.
The meeting discussed the “ongoing massacre” in the Gaza Strip.
Both Turkey and Mauritania stand in “absolute solidarity” with the Palestinians, calling for an “urgent ceasefire and the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid.”
