Do you love gardening? Do you spend hours perfecting your yard? Chances are you hate weeds that seem to pop up out of nowhere and quickly spread. When that happens, you can (and should) turn to simple tips from the experts.
For example, Craig Elworthy, the founder of Lawnbright, tells Martha Stewart that boiling water can take care of the problem without harsh chemicals.
It’s simple. Just boil a pot of water — enough to cover the affected area — and pour it over the weeds. The weeds will likely die almost immediately.
It’s “considered a non-selective option, meaning it will kill whatever it touches,” so he suggests using it more for spot treatments or smaller areas.
