Leicester City are confirmed to be returning to the Premier League after second-placed Leeds United were thrashed 4-0 by QPR. Goals from Ilias Chair, Lucas Andersen, Lyndon Dykes and Sam Field condemned Daniel Farke's side to a third defeat in five games and means they now look set for the play-offs unless Ipswich can capitalise.

It means Portugal international Ricardo Pereira and Leicester's on-loan Sporting Lisbon starlet Fatawu will be playing in the English top flight next season. Leicester move onto 94 points.

Ipswich are a point behind Leeds but have two games in hand and a golden opportunity to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

Kieran McKenna's side head to Hull City on Saturday night before travelling to Coventry on Tuesday and, should they win both, promotion could be secured before their final game of the season next weekend.

As was the case against Middlesbrough on Monday, Leeds fell behind to a sloppy goal inside the opening 10 minutes and, unlike that occasion, there was to be no fightback.
