Moreno wants Chaves focused on themselves to compete in the duel with Estoril
Desportivo de Chaves coach said today that the squad will be focused on what they can control against Estoril Praia, on matchday 30 of the I Liga, believing that a competitive mindset can result in a victory.

After returning to victories in the away match against Vizela (0-1), a team to which they 'handed' the red lantern, Desportivo de Chaves, second to last in the standings with 22 points, will host Estoril Praia, in 13th place with 29 points.
In the preview of the match, Moreno began by thanking the presence of about fifty supporters from Trás-os-Montes in the last training session in preparation for the 'duel' of the 30th round of the I League, highlighting the importance of the "extra strength from the stands".
In an assessment of the week of work, the coach acknowledged that it was marked by "happier faces", but that it was "not much different" from usual.
"We know our situation, which is difficult. It would be much more difficult if we hadn't won in Vizela, it's a fact, now, it's up to us every week, every day, every game, to be exemplary professionals, to represent the history of this club, the region the best we know how", he stressed.
Moreno therefore renewed his vote of confidence in the Flavian squad and assured that he wants the team focused on the most important thing, on itself, in yet another "difficult" confrontation.
"We understand the value of Estoril Praia, the individual quality, but [we have] to improve things even more based on what we did in Vizela, play better, give ourselves body and soul to the game, and then we'll see what happens. That's how we're going to be until the end of the championship", he assured.
Although he had prepared the athletes for the opponent's "well-worked collective game", praising Vasco Seabra, Moreno said he wanted to focus his attention on the team he leads.
"If I lose focus, if I start here to overly praise what the opponent is, who has quality, we don't worry about what really matters and we can control, which is ourselves. Therefore, our focus has to be on us, recognising and respecting all opponents in the same way, but going into the game and competing", he defended.
For this task, Moreno will not be able to count on the injured Guima and Cafú Phete. Conversely, Sandro Cruz is back in the squad and will be included in the call-up, the 'helmsman' said.
Desportivo de Chaves will host Estoril Praia on Sunday, at 3:30 pm, at the Estádio Municipal Engenheiro Manuel Branco Teixeira, in a match of the 30th round of the Portuguese I League, which will be refereed by Nuno Almeida, from the Algarve association.
