Mario Gómez gave an interview to the podcast 'Phrasenmaher' of the newspaper Bild, released this Wednesday, in which he took the opportunity to highlight the growing role of David Alaba at Real Madrid, especially in the face of the departure of Sergio Ramos (at the time to PSG), even ending up 'rescuing' the name of... Cristiano Ronaldo.

"What impresses me most about David Alaba is his quality, his body, his mental strength, his spirit, his humility and his energy. For me, he is the personified leader of football. He conveys natural leadership and seems to be from another planet", began by highlighting the former Bayern Munich star.

"When he joined the main references of Bayern, he idolized us because for him we were superstars. Following this path later and being the undisputed leader of Bayern is brutal, but then he still made Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid forget in the blink of an eye, the only one who imposed himself on Cristiano Ronaldo and put him in his place in 10 years. That's the best", added the former footballer.

It is recalled that David Alaba swapped Bayern Munich for Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, precisely when Sergio Ramos moved to Paris SG, after 16 uninterrupted seasons at the service of the meringues - a good part of which alongside CR7.
