Back in France, João Neves recalls the game in Toulouse: "It was emotional"

In the interview he gave on Monday to UEFA's official platforms, João Neves recalled the game against Toulouse (0-0), in France, in which the young midfielder participated days after the death of his mother, Sara Gonçalves.
"The last game in France was very emotional for me, as everyone knows. It's no secret to anyone. I gave it my all. It was a very close game", said the Portuguese international.
Returning to France, this time to face Marseille, João Neves guarantees that the team will be prepared for the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.
"If we play our football... it's up to us to go as far as possible. These are two high-quality teams at an international level. They have their strengths. We have to look at ourselves and put our game into practice. I think the first option is to look at ourselves and only then at the opponent", he stressed.
