Arsenal surprisingly lost their match against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Monday by 0-2, a result that allowed Manchester City to isolate themselves as leaders of the Premier League.

At this moment, the gunners are second place, two points from the first, with six rounds left to play. A difference that, in the opinion of Paul Merson, former English international who represented the club between 1986 and 1997, leaves no doubt as to the title candidacy: "It's gone, 100%".

"Now, it's completely turned upside down. Manchester City pressured them, by playing first, and they couldn't handle it", he started by affirming, in statements given to the British television station Sky Sports.

"I didn't like the team that [Mikel] Arteta chose. He continues to play with the same team that wins, every week. Don't be fooled by the 25-minute changes, against Bayern Munich", continued the now sports commentator.

"The pressure affects everyone. It's in these moments that you need a Pep Guardiola, who remains calm", he finished.
