Serbian 'hooligans' threaten Euro 2024: "We are not afraid of anyone"
Ultras from the country could put the safety of the event at risk.

The European Championship starts on June 14th, and it will represent one of the biggest challenges in the recent past for the German police authorities, due to the expected presence of the so-called 'ultras' in the country.
In this group, some of the most feared 'hooligans' will come from Serbia, a country that shares Group C with Denmark, England and Slovenia. The British newspaper Mirror published, this Sunday, a report in which it gives an account of the reports of some of them, who assure that they will not make life easy for anyone.
"On the pitch, they will probably win, but, off it, there is no discussion. We are not afraid of anyone. We learned everything we know from the Italians and the English, but they are not up to the Serbians", shot Ivan, 20 years old.
"In Red Star, there are probably 10,000 ultras, with a criminal group of between 200 and 300. They are, mostly, between 16 and 45 years old, and they are a mix of true football fans with criminals", added Tihomir Nedeljkov, 34 years old.
"The culture of the ultras is deeply rooted in crime. They fight for territory, because, if you own your stand, you own the neighbourhoods and everything that they entail", he completed.
