Sebastião Bugalho? It is "a new dimension" of the AD "mess"
The former coordinator of the Left Bloc Francisco Louçã considered that the head of the AD list for the European elections "is where he has always been, making a career" and highlighted the fact that the journalist was a "commentator who gave grades to party leaders a month ago".

On Monday, former Left Bloc coordinator Francisco Louçã considered that the announcement of Sebastião Bugalho as the lead candidate of the Democratic Alliance (AD) for the June European elections is "a new dimension of this mishmash". For the Left Bloc member, Bugalho "is where he has always been, making a career" and highlighted the fact that the journalist was a "commentator who was giving grades to party leaders a month ago".
In a note published on the social network Facebook, Francisco Louçã began by emphasising that Sebastião Bugalho, like "other commentators and journalists, was part of a group of people who occupied the studios after the debates between candidates for the legislative elections, and then classified them".
"That journalists should arrogate this function to themselves has always seemed to me to be a way of giving up their profession which, as far as I am aware, had the mission of providing information – and not presenting partisan conclusions. This did not apply in the same way to commentators who, without a journalist's credentials, could claim the right to be classifiers. However, there is another problem: in most cases, it was possible for anyone to anticipate their comment before the debate even took place," stated Louçã.
The Left Bloc member stated that "a new dimension of this mishmash is emerging", referring to "the commentators who left the AD rally to go and comment on the AD government ([Luís Marques] Mendes and [Paulo] Portas) and who, with all impartiality, will follow the political situation". Francisco Louçã also highlighted the case of José Miguel Júdice "whose daughter is in the Government and who, with all impartiality, announces that he will not comment on his daughter's performance but only on the council of ministers in which she sits".
"You will say that they have lost their shame. They never had any. They pretend an independence that they do not have. It is simply the frenzy of controlling power when the regime is shaken by its own decay," stated Francisco Louçã in the publication.
It should be recalled that Sebastião Bugalho will be the lead candidate of the Democratic Alliance (AD) for the June European elections. The list of the Democratic Alliance coalition (PSD, CDS-PP and PPM) for the European Parliament was revealed on Monday and voted on at a meeting of the PSD National Council.
