"I am honored to announce today the participation of Pope Francis in the work of the G7 (group of the world's most industrialized countries), in the session dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (...). I thank the Holy Father from the bottom of my heart for having accepted Italy's invitation", stated Meloni, who currently chairs the G7, in a video.

The leaders of the G7 -- Germany, Canada, the United States, France, Italy and the United Kingdom -- will meet between June 13 and 15 in Apúlia, in southern Italy, and Francis will be the first Pope to participate in a summit of the group.
