Kyiv Prosecutor's Office counts 545 children killed in the Russian invasion
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported today that since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022, the number of Ukrainian children killed due to the conflict is 545, while 1,289 were injured to varying degrees of severity.

Among the latest victims, on Friday, an 8-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl died as a result of a bombing in the city of Sinelnikovo, in the Dnipropetrovsk region (central Ukraine), while a 6-year-old boy was seriously injured.
In addition, in the Mykolaiv region (south), a 14-year-old teenager was injured in the attack on the city of Solonchaki, according to the Ukrainian prosecutor's office.
In recent months, Ukraine has suffered intense bombing campaigns by Moscow's forces against its major cities and energy infrastructure, causing civilian casualties.
At the same time, Ukraine has carried out a series of deep attacks on Russian territory, which have also caused civilian deaths.
For several months, the authorities in Kyiv have been demanding more weapons and ammunition to contain Russia's air raids and the progress of its military on the combat fronts in the east of the country.
In addition to the victims of the Russian military offensive, Ukrainian children in the occupied regions have been forcibly deported to Russia, where they are exposed to pro-Moscow propaganda campaigns, adoptions and even military training.
The deportations of Ukrainian minors led the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants against Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and Maria Lvova-Belova, the Kremlin's commissioner for children's rights.
