Looking to declutter your home and get rid of the junk that's been piling up over the years? One simple tip from interiors expert Elaine Penhaul, as featured in Woman & Home, could help – a lot. Specifically, she recommends that you take photos of every room before you start tidying.
According to the expert, by "photographing your rooms before you start tidying, it can change your perspective on the tasks that need doing" and "keeps you accountable for the results". She explains that "the eye tends to ignore the clutter that builds up".
Not only this, but it acts as a "great morale boost when you finish a room". It's a way to "look back and appreciate how far you've come, motivating you to conquer the next room," she adds.
