Yes, you read that correctly. You can freeze leftover cilantro to avoid food waste and ensure you never run out. There are multiple ways to freeze cilantro, but Better Homes and Gardens recommends a super simple, low-effort method. Take note!
First, you'll need to "rinse the fresh cilantro under cold water" and then "pat it thoroughly dry with paper towels." Next, using a sharp knife, chop the cilantro—stems and leaves—into your desired size.
Finally, place the chopped cilantro in a freezer-safe bag and try to remove as much air as possible before sealing. Label the bag with the date and place it in the freezer for safekeeping.
