Lidl invests 12 million and opens today an "iconic store" in the Restelo stadium
The supermarket group explains that "this is the 16th Lidl store in the centre of Lisbon and will be open daily between 8am and 9.30pm".

Lidl Portugal has announced that this Friday it will open an "iconic store" at the Estádio do Restelo, in Lisbon. With an investment of around 12 million euros, the project involved the redevelopment of the sports complex and surrounding areas, as well as the creation of a garden on the building's roof.
"The new Lidl store next to the Estádio do Restelo, in Lisbon, opens its doors today, a unique and innovative project, in a landmark area of the capital, which was born from a partnership between the retail chain and 'Os Belenenses', a historic and symbolic football club in the city", can be read in a statement.
The supermarket group explains that "this is the 16th Lidl store in the centre of Lisbon and will be open daily between 8am and 9:30pm".
"With an investment of around 12 million euros and in a clear commitment from Lidl to the community, the project included, in addition to the construction of the store, the redevelopment of the sports complex, with the opening of a new store for the 'Os Belenenses' Football Club, as well as urbanisation works in the entire surrounding area, which involved the creation of new infrastructure networks, new roads and accesses, allowing for better traffic flow and road safety and more public lighting, among other structural interventions", can be read.
For the team of this new store, Lidl Portugal has recruited 35 new employees, "who have a solid employment relationship, which includes the offer of a permanent contract, as well as access to training and excellent career opportunities within the company".
In this way, Lidl says that "it now has almost 400 employees in the municipality of Lisbon".
