FC Porto members face rain to vote. Record turnout in sight

As FC Porto elections this Saturday promise to be the most contested ever, with three candidates on the lookout for the position of president of the club from the Invicta city. Pinto da Costa, the top leader of the blue and whites, is running against André Villas-Boas (former coach of the Dragons) and Nuno Lobo, with the former positioning himself as the greatest opponent of the president who was elected in 1982.

The record of voters belongs to the 1988 electoral act, when about 11 thousand members voted, with Pinto da Costa having an opponent for the first time, in the case of Martins Soares. It is expected that the elections this Saturday may even double that mark, given the thousands of supporters present at the Estádio do Dragão early this morning.
