Struff makes history 'at home' with triumph at the Munich tennis tournament
German tennis player Jan-Lennard Struff, 28th ranked player in the world, won the ATP 250 tournament in Munich today at 'home', by defeating the American favorite Taylor Fritz, 15th in the table, in the final.

On the beaten earth of the Bavarian tournament, Struff beat Fritz in two sets, with partials of 7-5 and 6-3, in a match that lasted one hour and 19 minutes.
With the triumph in Munich, the German became, at 33, the oldest player to win a first ATP tournament.
"It's unbelievable... and doing it on German soil is simply incredible. I waited so long. I'm 33 and I've been playing on the circuit for a long time. It's a spectacular feeling to get this first title here in Germany".
