Andreas Pereira gave an extensive interview to Rio Ferdinand on Wednesday, on the podcast 'Vibe with FIVE', in which he addressed several topics, including the period during which he had the opportunity to play under the orders of José Mourinho, at Manchester United.

"On the first day, he told me 'The last coach who was here [Louis van Gaal] told me that you don't listen and you don't work hard'. So, I thought 'OK...'. Then, he said 'I want to see with my own eyes'", began by stating the player, who currently works with Marco Silva, at Fulham.

"After the first week of training, I told Antonio Valencia 'I think I'm done, I have to look for another club'", he added, before explaining how the former Ecuadorian international helped him convince the Portuguese coach.

"I started to smash people, in training. Everyone thought 'What is he doing?'. I started playing at 6. Two weeks later, he [Mourinho] told me 'I'm glad I didn't believe the other coach. They can't stand you. Now, you're my player'", he completed.
