Dalot pinpoints Manchester United problem: 'I'm disappointed'

Manchester United again stumbled in the race for European qualification spots this Saturday, failing to go beyond a 2-2 draw in their away match at Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth.

In statements given to the British newspaper Manchester Evening News after the final whistle, Portuguese international Diogo Dalot admitted that the excessive space the Red Devils have been leaving between the defensive line and the midfield may be one of the main causes for the crisis in results.

"I think it's a fact, it's something we've been exploring. Maybe we are taking too many risks. Sometimes the space between the defence and the midfield is a bit too big. That's why sometimes we suffer too many counterattacks," he began by saying.

"Overall, we are eager to take this as a learning process and try to improve. I'm disappointed. We wanted to come here and get the three points. We were twice behind, and we had the hunger to fight back into the game," he continued.

"I think we lost control in moments that we shouldn't have, and that was the story of the game. We lost control a bit, especially in the build-up from the back, and we conceded two goals in the first half that we could have avoided," he added.
