From 'shock' to promise: Van Dijk's words on Klopp
Dutch international regrets that the coach is leaving Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk has given an extensive interview to this Saturday's edition of the British newspaper Mirror, in which he addressed various topics, including, of course, the already announced 'goodbye' of Jurgen Klopp to Liverpool, at the end of this season.
The Dutch international did not hide his sadness at the departure of the coach who "made him captain of this fantastic club". Even so, he assured that, in the reds' dressing room, the motivation is high to ensure that his last 'dance' at Anfield will be unforgettable.
"It's the same as always. I said, the day after the announcement, that obviously it was a bit of a shock, as it was for all the Liverpool fans, and even for the non-Liverpool fans, as it was for us", he began by saying.
"But what he wants for us is the same. We have goals that we want to achieve, and they haven't changed. We started this process, in the summer, after a disappointing year, and we want to put things right", he continued.
"Not just for the coach, but also for ourselves. We all have pride, and we all knew that we could do much better than last year, and that's what we've been showing, since the first day of pre-season. We'll see how it goes", he added.
