After 5 months of silence, NASA re-establishes communication with Voyager 1 probe
The probe is currently 24 billion kilometers away from our planet.

After five months without any new information, NASA engineers have managed to re-establish communications with the Voyager 1 probe - currently 24 billion kilometres away from Earth.
It all started when, in November 2023, Voyager 1 started repeatedly sending an indecipherable code and, although the researchers knew that the probe was still active due to the radio signal, they could not obtain any more information.
Fortunately, the problem was solved and the NASA team was able to obtain more accurate data collected by Voyager 1.
“Today was a great day for Voyager 1. We have re-established communications with the aircraft and are eager to start receiving scientific data again”, noted one of the researchers, Linda Spilker.
