"I wanted to make an appeal to the youth, to those who were born and raised after April 25, to take April into their own hands, this April that belongs to them because it is in it that the answers to problems such as housing can be found", said Paulo Raimundo in statements to journalists, in Seixal, in the district of Setúbal, moments before the commemorative show of the 50 years of April 25 that is taking place today in that municipality.

The leader of the PCP considers that the path of April is not the path of low wages, low pensions, difficulties in accessing the National Health Service, precariousness and what pushes thousands of young people out of the country every day.

"It is exactly the opposite, it is the path of happiness and the consecration of rights and that is what needs to be resumed", he stressed, adding that the options of the current Government "do not follow the path of April" since they go in the direction of concentrating even more wealth in the 10 percent richest in the country.

Paulo Raimundo added that the path of April is one of a policy at the service of a majority, that is, of the 4.5 million employees and the two million retirees and pensioners.
