After a 2-year investigation, GNR arrests 4 drug trafficking suspects

On April 21, the National Republican Guard (GNR) arrested four men, aged between 18 and 46, for drug trafficking in the municipality of Castelo Branco.
In a statement on Monday, the GNR explained that, as part of a drug trafficking investigation that had been ongoing for about two years, the military "found that the suspects were engaged in drug trafficking".
During the police investigation, "four arrest warrants and four search warrants were executed".
The GNR seized 0.47 grams of amphetamines, 41.4 doses of hashish, a germination tray with cannabis plants, six mobile phones, three precision scales, computers and mobile phones, 1,333.70 euros in cash and various materials used in cutting, preparing and packaging drugs.
The suspects were arrested and will be presented today, April 22, at the Castelo Branco Judicial Court.
