A beer dedicated to the leader and founder of terror organisation Al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, has sold out after going viral on social media. Brewed by Mitchell’s Brewery Co. in Billinghay, Lincolnshire, ‘Osama Bin Lager’ caused the company’s website to temporarily crash due to demand. The brewery also produces ‘Kim Jong Ale’, named after the North Korean dictator, and ‘Putin Porter’, a reference to Russian president Vladimir Putin. “They are all a bit tongue-in-cheek - a bit of light-hearted look at some terrible dictators,” co-owner Luke Mitchell told the BBC . Mitchell, who runs the business with his wife Catherine, said they had “thousands and thousands and thousands” of notifications in recent days after a photo of the beer went viral on social media. “It’s gone absolutely crazy. The phone hasn’t stopped ringing for 48 hours,” Catherine said. While Mitchell said “everybody laughs” when they see the names of the drinks, he admitted there “must be” some people who are offended. The business donates £10 from every sold pint of ‘Osama Bin Lager’ to a charity supporting victims of the 9/11 terror attacks.
