Brazilian and US delegations discuss migration and refugee policies
A Brazilian delegation will go to Washington to meet with American officials to discuss migration policies, humanitarian issues and refugee protection, official sources said today.

The meeting, scheduled for April 29 in Washington, "Bilateral Dialogue with Brazil on Migration Policies, Humanitarian Issues and Refugee Protection", will be hosted by the Undersecretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights of the United States, Uzra Zeya, indicated in a statement the North American authorities.
The discussion will be centered "on the challenges and opportunities of international migration, including protection and humanitarian assistance for refugees, vulnerable migrants and other displaced persons", reads the same note.
In addition, both delegations will discuss the priorities of action on regional coordination in migration management in the Western Hemisphere.
On the Brazilian side, the delegation will be led by the Secretary for Multilateral Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Márcio Bicalho Cozendey.
