The announcement was made Friday by the government of Javier Milei.

"Conceptually, the Basic Law will become a reality and the changes are part of the progress," said the presidential spokesman, Manuel Adorni, during his daily press conference.

The government now hopes to obtain 135 to 140 votes, which would allow the approval of the bill in the Lower House, although there is still resistance to some of the 279 articles.

The initial proposal had 664 articles plus annexes.

Among the issues to be discussed is the reform of the labor market, whose articles were reduced from 60 to 16.

Among the most relevant changes in relation to the initial project is the withdrawal of the state-owned Banco Nación from the list of companies to be privatized.
