"Ukraine is using weapons provided by NATO Allies to great effect, destroying Russian combat capabilities. This strengthens the security of all in Europe and North America," he said.
-- The United States House of Representatives approved today in Washington the expected 61 billion dollar (57 billion euro) aid package for Ukraine, to face the Russian invasion that began in February 2022.
This military and economic assistance, which is the result of months of tense negotiations, ended up receiving support from both parliamentary benches and must now be approved in the Senate, where an initial vote could take place as early as Tuesday.
The aid package for Ukraine is the most significant of a set of three laws being voted on in a rare Saturday session, which includes support for Israel and Taiwan, in a total amount of 95 billion dollars (89 billion euros).
