Those who think that losing extra pounds means going on a restrictive diet and starving are wrong. Maddie Saliba, a dietician who teaches clients how to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way, quoted in the DailyMail, advises implementing simple but effective routines that can help anyone achieve their goals. 

She recommends that you stop counting calories and opt for full and protein-rich meals, especially for breakfast. More specifically, she advises that you almost always add 20 grams of protein to your plate. Eating protein-rich foods can "help you reach your weight loss goals faster".

She also explains that you should include one or more vegetables in your main meals of the day. Does it seem like a lot? Start by adding a vegetable to your dinner. Are you already doing that? "Try to eat one to two cups of vegetables at lunch and dinner," said the dietician. 

Finally, she explained that "your mental health and your mindset are crucial for losing weight". Try to "eliminate 'mental junk'" because "a healthy lifestyle starts with a healthy mindset".
