"Contains compounds such as gingerol, which have been associated with decreased inflammation and improved cognitive function," says physician Paul Daidone. "It can also increase the calories that the body burns," continues physician Gretchen San Miguel.
Turmeric
"Turmeric's antioxidant property can help decrease insulin resistance, blood sugar, cholesterol levels, and other metabolic conditions resulting from obesity," explains Gretchen San Miguel.
