40 years later, King Felipe VI takes the oath of allegiance again

The ceremony took place this morning at the Military Academy of Zaragoza.

On Saturday morning, May 4, Felipe VI and Letizia of Spain met again with their eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, at a solemn event.

The Princess of Asturias did not miss the act commemorating the 40th anniversary of her father's oath of allegiance, the King of Spain.

At the event, which took place at the Military Academy of Zaragoza (also attended by Leonor of Spain), the monarch appeared in military uniform, wearing the distinctions of lieutenant colonel on his chest.

Felipe VI, recalls the magazine Hola!, took the oath on October 11, 1985, when he was 17 years old. This took place in the Patio de Armas, where Leonor is currently receiving training along with the other cadets.

As happened 40 years ago, the king was the first to take the oath, followed by the other companions. One of the most exciting moments, the publication highlights, was when the relatives of the deceased military personnel arrived, who took the oath in their honor.

In the Royal Tribune, presiding over the ceremony, was Queen Letizia.
