Enzo Fernández speaks from his hospital bed: "I've been dragging the pain for six months"
Ex-Benfica was operated on for an inguinal hernia.

Enzo Fernández took to social media on Friday to announce that he had undergone surgery for an inguinal hernia, which will prevent him from playing in any of Chelsea's six remaining games this season.
"I wanted to let you know that my operation was successful, everything went well, thank God. I needed to have this surgery, as I've been carrying the pain for about six months. It was something I could avoid, while I was constantly treating myself, with injections and medications," he wrote.
"But, a few weeks ago, the pain started to get more and more intense, with none of it having any effect, and it got worse, as I was training and playing with complaints, but I didn't want to miss the games I had," he continued.
"Every time it was my turn to play with the Chelsea shirt, as well as the national team, I tried to give my best, always, despite all this, but I couldn't take it anymore. Thank you for the messages, the encouragement and the usual demonstrations of affection," he added.
