Lee Sharpe gave an extensive interview to the official platforms of the British bookmaker BetVictor this Tuesday, in which he did not spare criticism of Bruno Fernandes's attitude on the pitch.

The former England international represented the Red Devils between 1988 and 1996, and argues that the Portuguese does not have what it takes to be captain: "It annoys me. I don't like him throwing his arms about and moaning. You have to keep a cool head when others around you are losing theirs".

"I don't agree with all the arm-waving, the gestures and the moaning. You have to have a bit more class when you are captain of Manchester United and he lets himself down with that. He works hard but his positional play is not disciplined enough at times," he continued.

"Running around a lot looks like hard work but it leaves team-mates exposed. For me, he is hot and cold. There are parts of his game that are unbelievable but there are other parts I could do without," added the former striker, now 52 years old.
