The right-back, who suffered an injury to the hamstring muscles of his left leg in the friendly with Chile, has been replaced at Marseille by Ulisses Garcia, a Swiss international of Portuguese origin.

Coach Jean-Louis Gasset will have to find another solution, taking into account that Ulisses Garcia is not registered with UEFA and was left out of the group of 20 players who are travelling to Lisbon for Thursday's first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.

The good news for Gasset and which could become a solution for the most backward sector is the return of the also defender and Panamanian international Michael Amir Murillo, a regular starter and absent since the end of January due to injury.

Of the 20 called up, we also highlight the presence of Congolese centre-back Chancel Mbemba, a former FC Porto player, who is in his second season at Marseille.

The match between Benfica and Marseille is scheduled for Thursday at Estádio da Luz, starting at 20:00 and will be refereed by Englishman Michael Oliver.
