Rangel regrets the death of journalist Pedro Cruz. "Professional by vocation"
The Foreign Minister, Paulo Rangel, regretted today the death of the journalist Pedro Cruz, aged 53, remembering him as a "professional by vocation".

The ruler spoke at the 31st CDS-PP Congress, in Viseu, as a minister, but also as the vice-president of PSD.
"It was with great regret that we learned today of the death of Pedro Cruz, a great journalist, a man of immense affability, a professional by vocation and who is from the generation of the prime minister and mine," he lamented.
The social democrat said he received the news with "great shock".
"On behalf of the Portuguese government, I would like to convey our condolences to the family and also to all Portuguese journalists. Because I think he represented the professional class well," he said.
Journalist Pedro Cruz died today, at 53, a victim of lung cancer, at the CUF Tejo hospital, in Lisbon, the family confirmed to Lusa.
Pedro Cruz was currently on the board of Global Media and was also the director of the radio station TSF. He stood out in the service of SIC, where he worked from the end of the 90s (1998/99) until 2021 and held the positions of coordinator of the Porto newsroom and deputy director of information for the channel.
The areas of politics and international affairs were those he followed most closely, having been present in several situations of conflict and international tension, namely Kosovo, Syria, Albania, Haiti, Lebanon or Ukraine.
