It was announced this afternoon that King Charles III will resume public duties after months away from royal engagements due to cancer treatment.
"His Majesty The King will shortly resume public duties following a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent diagnosis of cancer. To mark this milestone, The King and The Queen will visit a cancer treatment centre together next Tuesday, where they will meet specialist doctors and patients," the statement read.
This will be the first of a number of engagements that Charles will undertake "in the coming weeks".
In June, the Emperor and Empress of Japan will be making an official state visit to the UK.
