It's really important to 'feed' your body before a workout, regardless of the intensity, say nutritionists, as quoted in Woman & Home. But, of course, when choosing what to eat you have to consider a few factors, including the type of exercise you're doing.
For example, those who do more endurance training should opt for "slower-release, higher-fibre carbohydrates". Those who do more resistance training should up their protein intake. Need some examples? Check out the list.

- Nut butters;
- Cottage cheese;
- Apple;
- Grapes;
- Greek yogurt;
- Blueberries;
- Nuts;
- Eggs;
- Avocado;
- Quinoa;
- Salmon;
- Rice;
- Orange;
- Chicken;
- Dried fruit;
- Sweet potato;
- Beans;
- Broccoli.
