Actress Sophia Bush comes out as queer, reveals she's dating former player

At 41, Sophia Bush has come out as queer and "opened her heart" about her romance with former soccer player Ashlyn Harris.
The actress spoke openly about her sexuality in an interview with Glamour magazine eight months after divorcing Grant Hughes, who she married in 2022.
Identifying as queer, the term she feels best describes her, Sophia explained that her sexuality falls outside of society's traditional, heteronormative standards. "I couldn't be more proud or excited to be out," she said in the interview.
The star also admitted that she finally feels like she can "breathe". "I feel like I've been holding my breath for so long. I didn't realize how much I was holding my breath until I let it go," she said.
Sophia Bush also confirmed her relationship with Ashlyn Harris, a former goalkeeper who is a two-time World Cup champion with the United States.
Sophia Bush is best known for her acting career, having starred in the hit series 'One Tree Hill' from 2003 to 2012.
