Manchester City's overwhelming dominance over Brighton, away from home. The citizens confirmed once again their candidacy for the title, in a three-way fight this season, with a 0-4 thrashing. Roberto De Zerbi's team was unable to turn things around. City began to shape the victory early on, with an unusual goal from Kevin De Bruyne, the Belgian midfielder who scored his first ever headed goal in the Premier League. Then came the man of the match - Phil Foden, increasingly a certainty in world football, scored from a free-kick, benefiting from a deflection in the barrier. At 34', Foden scored another, following an error by Brighton's defense, who wanted to build from the back but lost the ball. Already in the second half, at 64', Julian Álvarez confirmed the thrashing and reduced any chance of a response from Brighton, with the 0-4 goal. After that, Guardiola promoted the rotation in the team. Matheus Nunes added a few minutes, while Bernardo Silva left the field. Thus, Manchester City is one point behind Arsenal's 77, leader of the Premier, and with two more than Liverpool, who lost at home to Everton this Wednesday.
